Prachanda sees no option to framing way of prosperous Nepal

Kathmandu : Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said there was no option but to pave a way for a prosperous Nepal in five years.

At an art exhibition programme in the capital, the former prime minister said such epoch-making move as not possible without the journey together, coordination and unity among all political forces and civil society.

Chairman Prachanda voiced that unity of Tarai-Madhes, Pahad and Himal; and working concertedly for a political purpose of nation building was the historic necessity of the time.

Saying that the incumbent government has the responsibility to assure the people with its dedication to them, Prachanda said the government should dare mend the weaknesses encountered while addressing the people’s expectations.

The Chairman stated that the current government was constituted with an objective to advance the nation towards economic development and prosperity through by ending the political instability that plagued the country for nearly seven decades.

On the occasion, Satabdi Purush Satyamohan Joshi said paintings should arouse the people for revolutionary ideas.

Representing people’s sentiments and the sacrifices made for the political objectives should be portrayed by the paintings, the veteran culture expert suggested.

Similarly, senior leader Shanta Shrestha said he political movements have established the notion that the poor, backward and marginalized people too wage the struggles for establishing their rights.

On the occasion, Satabdi Purush Joshi, senior journalist Bhairab Risal, singers JB Tuhure and Jiban Sharma, leader Shanta Shrestha and others were honoured for their outstanding contributions to the concerned sectors.

The weeklong exhibition shall showcase 51 paintings of 39 artists. Krishna KC, chairman of the organizing body, said that the exhibition was organized to revitalize the glory of the history.
