Rice Pudding (Kheer) recipe (Video)

Kathmandu: One of the greatest festivals of Nepali Hindu women, Teej is nearing. Women have started inviting and arranging ‘Dar’ for their friends and dear ones ahead of Teej.  ‘Kheer’ is one of the important foods of teej ‘Dar’. In this video, the method of preparing special Kheer is given with ingredients.

 

Ingredients:

Rice (basmati), milk, sugar, cashew, coconut

Cardamom, Raisin, Cloves, Bay leaf

 

Method:

-The essential rice to make the Kheer is to wash well with water.

-Heat the vessel in medium heat flame and add milk.

-Then add washing rice in boiled milk and cooked for a few minutes in low flame.

-Then add all the dry fruits and spice and then cook for 12 to 15 minutes.
