Government effortful for resolving problems, PM says

Kathmandu): Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed government’s commitment to resolve plethora of problems surfaced in all sectors including industry, education and health.

The government was effortful to address the problems in a planned manner, PM Oli said at a meeting with a delegation of the Federation of Nepalese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at his official residence, Baluwatar, today.

During the discussion, the Prime Minister noted that efforts are also on to resolve the bottlenecks seen in industrial sector in a way to yield concrete results soon.

However, he also called for support from the private sector to bring desired economic reforms in the country.

The FNCCI delegation had drawn Prime Minister’s attention over the imposition of taxes by local, provincial and federal governments on different headings and its negative implication in business sector.

Talking to journalists, FNCCI Chairperson Bhawani Rana informed that they had asked the PM to resolve the problems surfaced in industrial sector, mainly tax burden and change in obsolete industrial policy.

In response, PM Oli had also called for the delegation of the umbrella organization of private sector to provide concrete recommendations for the reforms and expansion of industrial sector.
