Mother charged of beating daughter to death
Bhadrapur : An eight-year-old girl has reportedly died after being beaten by her mother.
Hemanta Kurungwang,27, a resident of Subba chowk in Birtamode municipality hit her daughter Safalta for allegedly not agreeing to comb her hair before going to school. Seriously injured, Safalta died during treatment at Birta City Hospital in Birtamode, according to District Police Office, Jhapa.
Hemanta has been taken into custody for further investigation and necessary action, police said. Safalta was found with blue marks in her right temple, back and both hands.
