A lot of speculation has been doing the rounds regarding a sequel to the Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Raveena Tandon starrer 1994 movie Andaz Apna Apna for years now. While some times it is reported that Ranveer Singh and Varun Dhawan are rumored to be starring in it, other times it is also speculated that Ranbir Kapoor may be a part of it.
In 2017, director Rajkumar Santoshi has himself confirmed that a reboot of the romantic comedy is very much in the pipeline. What had then ensued was a lot of conjecture work and gossip. It was reported in the past that Aamir Khan and Salman Khan will not star in the reloaded version of the original movie.
Dilip Shukla, the writer of Andaz Apna Apna and many other movies such as Dabangg, Jai Ho, Mohra, Ghayal and Damini, has confirmed that Aamir and Salman are most certainly a part of the cast. Not just that, the new cast will have 3 other new members.
